The Feldenkrais Awareness Summit: Resiliency, Freedom, and Evolution

by | May 1, 2018 | General, Holistic Wellness, Mind Body Spirit, Somatics

We see every day that technology can be used for ill both unconsciously and consciously. But technology can also be used for good.

This is definitely the latter.

The Feldenkrais Awareness Summit: Resiliency, Freedom, and Evolution—sponsored by Future Life Now OnLine and running from May 1st to May 8th—is the perfect opportunity for practitioners and students to come together and learn what’s going on in the world of Somatics. The event will be hosted by Cynthia Allen and co-hosted by Lavinia Plonka

Listen in live with me or log on to watch the recordings of past presentations to grow and transform as over 25 leading teachers and visionaries help us return to our bodies and emotions to untangle those habits that get in the way of our resiliency, freedom, and evolution.

I will be presenting Tuesday, May 8, at 8:00 am. Hope you can make it!

Feldenkrais Awareness Summit Speakers and Topics

Here is the line-up of the speakers and the topics they will be explored:

  • Secret Ninja Training: An Intelligent Nervous System’s Guide to Arts and Activism, Jessica Beck
  • Clinical Hermeneutics: To Whose Rigor will you Submit? Dav Clark

Of course, freedom and evolution need a solid base, and we will learn how to build that base of health from:

  • Better Hearing through the Somatic Experience of Sound, David Kaetz
  • Multiple Sclerosis: Take Charge of Your Mobility and Function, Beth Rubenstein

From that solid base, we can explore ways to go even further:

  • The Singing Self: Somatic Learning for Voice Performers, Robert Susumma
  • The Aware Athlete: Why Age is Irrelevant, Scott Forrester
  • Grow Young with Your Dog, Mary Debono

And to put the icing on the Feldenkrais Awareness Summit cake, for Moshe Feldenkrais’s birthday on May 6th we will hear from Jerry Karzen as he presents Moshe Feldenkrais: Stories about a Master Storyteller. Plus, at a yet undisclosed time during the summit, there will be a single Awareness through Movement lesson that will be shared in 17 different languages from 17 practitioners around the world.

Join me at this year’s Feldenkrais Awareness Summit for some rich conversation, learning, and exploration!
